Visitors to the Spring Creek Nature Area (SCNA) can now more fully experience the park thanks to two recently opened trails. The new, 10-foot-wide hike-and-bike trails are the first concrete trails to traverse the inside of the northern portion of the park, connecting the park’s granite portals and perimeter trail along Renner Road with existing trail in the southern portion of the park.

Together the new trails add about ¼ mile to the park’s three miles of trail. The City acquired the northern portion of the SCNA in 2015, doubling the park’s size to 100 acres, and completed the portals and perimeter trail last year.

Landscaping and grading work continue along the new trails, so visitors are advised to use caution when landscape contractor trucks are in the area.
