Phase 2 of the DART Silver Line Bridge construction over US 75 in Richardson begins next week and along with that, new lane closures.
Intermittent closures of the northbound US 75 ramps onto the President George Bush Turnpike (PGBT) are expected starting this weekend from 9 p.m.-5 a.m. through the end of November.
US 75 to Westbound PGBT
Take Exit 28A, U-turn at 15th Street, Exit 28B to westbound PGBT.
US 75 to Eastbound PGBT
Take Exit 28A, follow sign for Eastbound PGBT to turn right on N President George Bush Hwy.
This weekend, Sept. 23-24, will be the last weekend of the nightly closures in the HOV lane of US 75 in conjunction with Phase 1 construction.
In addition, travelers through Richardson may notice increased activity on the Kansas City Southern rail line that stretches from the southeast to northwest in the city, as supplies for the Silver Line project are conveyed to work sites. The rail line runs through a number of neighborhoods, including but not limited to, Richland Meadows, Highland Terrace, College, North College Park, Mark Twain and Canyon Creek.
