RICHARDSON – Donations of unwrapped toys and canned/shelf stable food are needed for the Richardson Fire Department’s annual Toy and Food Drive, benefiting families at Network of Community Ministries.

The drive is currently underway and will wrap up on Friday, Dec. 17.

Donations of food and unwrapped toys may be made at any of the six Richardson Fire Stations, the Fleet Services Department at the Service Center located at 1260 Columbia Dr., the Richardson Public Library (900 Civic Center Dr.) or at the Grand Hall at Richardson City Hall (411 W. Arapaho Rd.).

Gift suggestions include, but are not limited to, Lego sets, Lincoln logs, Barbies and clothes, Nerf balls, action figures, dolls, sports team caps, CD players, radios, toy cars, pen and pencil sets, self-contained arts and craft kits, books, board games, playing cards, puzzles, sports balls and equipment, makeup, manicure kits, scarves, hats, gloves, and fleece blankets. (Please note that no wheeled toys such as bicycles, tricycles or scooters will be accepted).
