RICHARDSON – Entries for the City’s second annual “Martin Luther King, Jr. Essay Contest” and the “Black History Month: Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion” Art Contest are now being accepted.

Each contest is open to students who live within the City of Richardson or attend school within the city.

The essay contest ends Jan. 31 and the art contest ends Feb. 28.

Local student Sara Heiser was one of last year’s winners. Her essay included different ways she plans to make the world a better place.
