The Mayor’s Blue Ribbon Committee on Diversity and Inclusion held its first meeting this week. The group was formed to focus on providing input for the Library and City Hall renovation projects, Active Transportation Plan, and the Parks and Recreation Master Plan. Each of the projects are currently under development and expected to produce their final recommendations and plans early next year.
Committee members include a mix of people with different backgrounds and abilities who were chosen to provide specific feedback for each project related to diversity and inclusivity needs. The feedback will be combined with other input sought through community-wide surveys and focus groups that will ultimately be used to develop the final plans.
