A flute and clarinet duo from the Lone Star Wind Orchestra (LSWO) brightened the day for employees and visitors to the City Hall/Civic Center complex Monday, performing holiday music by the facility’s large indoor poinsettia tree at the end of the work day. LSWO provided the music as a way to show appreciation to the City for its continued support.

The Orchestra was founded in 2006 and is funded in part by a grant from the Richardson Cultural Arts Commission. The group performs classical transcriptions, chamber music and contemporary wind band literature, and has a youth component called the Lone Star Youth Winds.
