Applications opened this week for the City’s 2024 Spring Arts Initiative Grant Program, which offers funding to local nonprofit arts organizations for special opportunities that are not included in the organization’s normal budget process or regular programming.
Eligible requests include one-time special performances, a unique series of events and community outreach initiatives. Applications are evaluated by the Cultural Arts Commission on a project’s ability to achieve one or more of the priorities identified in Richardson’s Cultural Arts Master Plan:
- Cultivate new generations of arts participants
- Apply Richardson’s focus on innovation to cultural arts
- Promote Richardson through citywide cultural arts offerings
- Focus on strength in numbers: cultural clusters and districts
- Plan an effective cultural tourism strategy
Applications are due by 5 p.m. March 22.
