City staff announced this week that the UT Dallas School of Arts, Technology and Emerging Communication (ATEC) and the Eisemann Center will come together for a month-long digital experience in honor of the Eisemann Center’s 20th Anniversary. “20 Years in 20 Minutes” will be a ticketed presentation created and operated by ATEC students, which will show Tuesdays-Saturdays Sept. 9-30 in the Eisemann Center’s Bank of America Hall. The blending of art and technology will be funded by the Eisemann Edge Endowment Fund (created by Ann and Charles Eisemann) and will be limited to 15 people per showing to maximize the viewing experience. Both public and private showings will be offered.
The anniversary will also be marked with a special performance by Eisemann Center favorites, “The Midtown Men,” Sept. 10. The Charles W. Eisemann Center for Performing Arts and Corporate Presentations opened Sept. 14, 2002 and as of this month has hosted 7,980 events with 3.2 million attendees.
