To celebrate the launch of its new “DARTzoom” bus network, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) is offering free rides Jan. 24-30. In addition, DART will also offer 50 percent off all rides purchased with any DART contactless payment option Jan. 31-Feb. 14. The free and reduced rides promotions are valid on all DART transit services throughout the entire DART service area including buses, light rail and Paratransit Services.
The new bus network will be activated Monday, Jan. 24, providing greater frequency, more direct routes, longer service hours and improved access for riders from their neighborhoods. Thirteen bus routes will be replaced with GoLink service, an on-demand, curb-to-curb microtransit option. The UberPool shared ride program will also be an option within each GoLink zone, available to DART riders for $1-$3 depending on destination.
In addition, DART light rail service will return to pre-pandemic levels, providing 15-minute peak service and more frequent evening service.
