Following a thorough evaluation of internal operations and public input, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will introduce a simplified fare structure starting Saturday, March 1. The updated structure is intended to offer more clarity and convenience for riders while continuing to uphold DART’s commitment to quality service.
Key Changes to DART Local Fares:
- Single-ride (bus and GoLink only), AM, PM and Midday Passes, will be replaced with a standard 3-Hour Pass.
- Monthly Pass cost will increase (day pass and paratransit pass prices remain the same)
- The Retail Annual Pass option is being discontinued.
- Veterans will receive a 50 percent discount (they can apply for a DART-issued reduced fare card online or in person at DARTmart, located at Akard Station, to receive discounted fare).
- The half-price Discount GoPass Tap card program, for those receiving benefits from qualifying agencies, is now permanent.
- A new tiered bulk sales discount system is available for special events, corporate pass partners, and educational institutions.
