RICHARDSON – The Cottonwood Art Festival is taking place this weekend in Richardson with more than 240 artists from all over the world displaying their work throughout Cottonwood Park, located at 1301 W. Belt Line Rd.

“These crowds are wonderful. Many people put this event on their calendar a year in advance. They know the two Cottonwood Art Festivals take place in the Spring and in the Fall. It’s also a beautiful venue,” said artist Patsy Lindamood from Huntsville, Texas.

The two-day festival is in its 53rd year. It allows artists the opportunity to exhibit their museum-quality work – from paintings and sculptures to photography.

Cottonwood Art Festival also features an array of activities for everyone in the family including a children’s area and a spot to enjoy food and drinks, all surrounded by a sea of artwork.

There’s live music to enjoy on two different stages that are filled with a long list of performers.

The Cottonwood Art Festival runs 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 7 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 8.
