Development Services staff and consultants gave an update to the City Council Monday regarding the City’s Envision Richardson Comprehensive Plan Update, currently in progress. A Comprehensive Plan guides future development/redevelopment and zoning decisions, along with informing choices regarding public investments in transportation and other infrastructure enhancements.
The project’s second Community Summit starts October 1 and will build on the input gathered during the first Community Summit held this past summer (June/July). The focus will be on gathering feedback on draft reliminary Vision Statement and Guiding Principles, as well as initial input on land use, housing, and the visions for proposed Reinvestment Areas.
Community Summit 2 input opportunities include:
- Online survey that will be available Oct. 1 through Nov. 5
- Community Workshops
- Tuesday, Oct. 10, 6:30–8:30 p.m. at Richardson City Hall, 2360 Campbell Creek Blvd. Suite 525
- Saturday, Oct. 28th, 10:a.m.–noon at Heights Recreation Center, 711 W. Arapaho Rd
A third Community Summit is planned for Summer 2024 as plan drafts are developed.
