As part of Richardson’s 150th Birthday celebration, organizers set a goal earlier this year of having 150,000 volunteer service minutes logged on the Richardson’s 150th website (www.richardson150th.com), and as of today, almost 850,000 minutes (more than 14,000 hours) have been logged by individuals and volunteers from several groups and organizations since January!
More than 30 groups and organizations have signed up to volunteer including Altrusa International of Richardson, Inc., the Richardson Family YMCA, and hundreds of volunteers who put in time at last month’s Wildflower! and Cottonwood festivals.
Volunteer hours can be logged online through June 15 (under “Get Involved”).
