RICHARDSON – The Richardson Animal Shelter is taking part in “Clear the Shelters,” a national campaign that takes place every August giving shelter cats and dogs a second chance at finding a forever home.
“If you go on our website, our adoptable pets will have pictures and all of their information will be posted there. So, if someone sees a dog or cat they like, they can always give us a call,” said
Amber Norman, Resource Coordinator at the Richardson Animal Shelter.
This year the event will run a bit different because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of one day, “Clear the Shelters” at the Richardson Animal Shelter will be one week. Also, people will be asked to make an appointment by calling 972-744-4480 to visit the Shelter.
During the event adoption fees will be waived. “Clear the Shelters” takes place Aug. 24-29.
