The City of Richardson’s Communications Department has received a Silver Circle Award in the national City-County Communications & Marketing Association’s (3CMA) annual Savvy Awards competition. The honor was presented in the Communications and Marketing Tools/Best Use of Social Media Campaign category for cities with populations of 75,000–150,000.
Richardson was recognized for its quick and comprehensive social media coverage following the May 28, 2024 storm—efforts that continued for nearly two months as the community recovered.
Judges praised Richardson’s work, noting:
