The City is currently in negotiations on a 77,000-square-foot leased space to bring City Hall services and functions back together under one roof and serve as a temporary location for the Richardson Public Library. Earlier this month, the City Council authorized the City Manager to sign a 3.5-year lease for the space, located at 2360 Campbell Creek Blvd., with the option to extend as needed. The space is expected to be ready for initial move-ins by summer.
All City Hall offices and services were relocated to four different municipal buildings last year after an August fire damaged City Hall; repairing/rebuilding options for City Hall are currently being discussed (see article below). Renovations to the Library are scheduled to begin later this year, part of the 2021 Bond Program, and relocation of all Library services is required before the renovations can start.
Walk-in City services will remain at the Ray Noah Municipal Court Building, 2100 E. Campbell Road, and the Library will maintain regular hours at its current location until the temporary facility can be renovated.
