Registration begins Monday, Oct. 23, for Richardson’s 51st Annual Christmas Parade, to be held Saturday, Dec. 2. This year’s parade theme is “The Parade of Misfit Toys.” Individuals and groups are encouraged to interpret the theme with costumes, vehicles, pets and floats. Entry fee is $25 plus a new, unwrapped toy to benefit Network. Deadline for registration is 11:59 p.m. Nov. 20, and volunteers are also being sought.
Friend of the Parade reserved seating with complimentary refreshments and parking pass are also available. Proceeds benefit the Network of Community Ministries.
This year’s parade will begin at Richardson High School and travel north on Coit Road from Cherrywood Drive to J.J. Pearce High School.
The parade’s award ceremony will be held Dec. 2 at 5 p.m. at Huffhines Park.
