Amidst all the current COVID-19-related closures/restrictions, you may have extra time to complete the 2020 Census if you haven’t done so yet. Richardson residents began receiving invitations to participate in mid-March and can do so now even though April 1 is the official date of the 2020 Census. The invitation includes the web address to fill out the Census along with a 16-digit code linked to the residential address. The online form is quick and easy to fill out and is offered in English and 12 other languages.

Getting a complete and accurate count of the U.S. population requires everyone’s help, as results will determine which communities will benefit from federal funding over the next decade. Census results will also determine representation in government at all levels.

Your information and your answers are kept strictly confidential with laws in place that ensure that no government agency or court can use any data against you.
