RICHARDSON – The Bush Central Barkway will be temporarily closed starting Wed., May. 26 until Jun. 25 as part of a revitalization project at the dog park.

Richardson Parks and Recreation staff are working on aerating, soil flushing and fertilizing, which will help the grass recover from the normal heavy use.

“The dog park is popular because people love their dogs, they love to have a place to go play with their dogs and meet new dogs and enjoy themselves,” said Shohn Rodgers, Superintendent of Parks, Richardson Parks and Recreation Department.

Revitalization work at the dog park has not been done since it opened in 2015.
