Meet Amal Raj Anilkumar, last year’s winner in the 4th to 6th Grade category of the Black History Month: Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion Art Contest.
His colorful art piece, a representation of our diverse community, includes a variety of faces and flags with a sentence that reads “We all come from different backgrounds, but we also come from the same heart.”
Entries for the Art Contest are being accepted now through Feb. 29.
The contest is open to students in grades 1-12 who live in Richardson or attend school within the city.
