Richardson’s Public Services Department reports requests for Brush and Bulky Item Collection (BABIC) are more than four times the normal amount as residents continue to clear branches and other debris created by severe storms over the Labor Day weekend. More than 2,200 pickup requests were received for the Thursday and Friday routes. The high number means BABIC crews will likely not complete all their Friday collections by the end of the day, but they will work overtime this weekend to catch up.
