Brush and Bulky Item Collection has been experiencing delays due to an increase in call volume related to seasonal demand. The call volume for the last two weeks has averaged 695 BABIC stops per day, with several days receiving more than 830 calls—a 115 percent increase from February, which averaged 385 calls per day.

Currently, items that are not collected on designated BABIC days are being picked up the following day. If your home is one of the properties missed, please leave your BABIC materials out at your normal collection spot and it will be picked up as quickly as possible. Remember to “Think Big” when it comes to BABIC pickup requests. The service is designed for large brush and bulky items weighing 50 pounds or more (but no bigger than eight feet long and two feet in diameter). Smaller materials should be placed out for regular trash collection.
