City Council Budget Workshop Set for July 25-26 

The City’s annual two-day Budget Workshop will be held Monday and Tuesday, July 25-26, at City Hall. During the workshop, staff will give presentations on department needs and their projected costs for FY 2022-23 and the City Council will offer feedback.

RCAS Prize-Winning Art Donated to Library 

The Richardson Civic Art Society has purchased the watercolor painting, “Juxtaposition,” by artist Cindy Daunis and donated it to the City for future display at the Library. The piece was the Best in Show/Purchase Award Winner in the Society’s 56th Annual Regional Juried Art Exhibition and Sale held in May at the Eisemann Center. RCAS has been donating winning art to the City from the exhibition every year since the group’s founding in 1966.

School Zone Flashers to be Tested July 27 

In preparation for the start of RISD and PISD classes, Traffic Operations will test school zone signals from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, to ensure all flashers are working. The testing not only helps the City know if repairs are needed, but also helps drivers acclimate to slowing down in school zones.
