Information Technology staff updated the City Council Monday on plans to upgrade the City’s phone system and land/mobile radio communications system.

Though thunderstorms and tornadoes can happen in Texas any time of year, Texans are more likely to experience these types of severe weather events in the spring and early summer—which means that in Richardson, you’re also more likely to get severe weather alerts. As a reminder, using multiple warning methods is the best way to receive alerts during any emergency.

The City of Richardson continues to respond to severe winter weather impacting the North Texas area. Due to continued hazardous conditions on area roads and alleys, collection of trash, recycling, and Brush and Bulky Item Collection (BABIC) will NOT be possible on Thursday, Feb. 2. All commercial collections are also cancelled for tomorrow.
