Community Inclusion and Engagement Commission Approved 

At Monday’s City Council Meeting, the Council approved an ordinance establishing a new Community Inclusion and Engagement Commission. The nine-member advisory group will serve the Council on matters pertaining to diversity, inclusion, engagement and accessibility, and create an annual report to the Council.

Council Updated on Active Transportation Plan; City to Strive for “Silver” Bicycle Friendly Designation  

Transportation and Mobility staff gave an update to the City Council Monday regarding implementation of the City’s Active Transportation Plan (ATP), adopted in February, including current and future mobility projects that align with the City’s “Bicycle Friendly” designation. Richardson has been a Bronze-level Bicycle Friendly Community since 2015 and was the first community in North Texas to receive the recognition.
