Public Safety Ready for Eclipse 

Though the DFW area is not expected to draw the large eclipse-watching crowds for which the Texas Hill Country and other locales are preparing, some predictions show possibly 90,000 visitors coming to the Metroplex in the next few days, in spite of forecasted cloudy weather. Richardson Police will have additional officers on duty on Monday, April 8, specifically assigned to checking areas around the city for crowd and/or traffic-related problems related to the eclipse.
