For the Labor Day holiday, there will be NO trash pickup, brush and bulky item collection or recycling pickup Monday, Sept. 5. Regularly scheduled trash and BABIC service will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 6. The make-up days for recycling collection are listed below. 

The City Council approved the 2022-23 fiscal year budget Monday. The newly adopted budget includes a projected $354,486,879 in operations and community projects, representing an increase of $23,698,460, or 7.2 percent, compared to the previous year’s adopted expenditures.

Though the public cannot currently purchase blue recycling bags at City Hall due to its temporary closure, the bags continue to be available for purchase at the following locations during regular business hours: 

This week City staff announced the temporary relocation of departments that were housed at City Hall.

The annual North Texas Food Bank Peanut Butter Drive began this week, held each year in September in conjunction with Hunger Action Month to benefit local food banks.
