City staff provided an update on City facilities at Monday’s City Council meeting, including a timeline of past construction/renovations, the status of current bond program projects and recommendations for $45.17M in facilities projects for inclusion in a possible 2026 bond election.

Cheryl Bushell and Richard Boedecker were named the 2025 Supervisor of the Year and 2025 Employee of the Year, respectively, by the Richardson Rotary Club earlier this week. The awards, given by the Club since 1992, are designed to recognize City employees who made significant contributions during the past year.   

Road work on Waterview Drive between Belt Line Road and Arapaho Road is scheduled to begin next week, weather permitting. The work is part of the City’s 2024 Asphalt Overlay Project.  

The right lanes of northbound and southbound Greenville Avenue, between Polk Street and Phillips Street in The CORE District, may be closed to traffic from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. as fiber optic work takes place along Greenville Avenue and Kaufman Street.
