Heights Family Aquatic Center will open tomorrow through Monday, noon-8 p.m., for Memorial Day Weekend. The Aquatic Center will then reopen Saturday, June 3 for its regular summer schedule along with the City’s neighborhood pools: Canyon Creek, Cottonwood, Glenville and Terrace.

Due to the Memorial Day holiday, there will be no City Council work session or meeting May 29. The City Council will next meet Monday, June 5 beginning at 6 p.m. 

Newly re-elected City Council Member Arefin Shamsul has been chosen by his peers on the Richardson City Council to serve as Mayor Pro Tem for the 2023-25 City Council term. The vote took place at the May 22 City Council meeting. Shamsul represents Place 6 and has served on the City Council’s Education Committee and Retail Committee.
