Assistance Offered to Hurricane Evacuees, Information Hotlines Established

Louisiana residents who evacuated due to Hurricane Ida are eligible to stay free of charge at select hotels as part of the Federal Emergency Management Association’s (FEMA) Transitional Sheltering Assistance Program. Evacuees must find and book their own hotel rooms from the list of participating hotels found at www.DisasterAssistance.gov under the link Transitional Sheltering Assistance Program, or by calling 800-621-3362.
