The following events are coming up at the Eisemann Center.

“The Horror Part 2: A Haunting” is the second exhibition in the gallery’s ongoing series that explores horror in art. Part 2 features works by eight artists who focus on “the mystical, the unknown, the uneasy, the yearning for more than the mundane and the hope for magic.” 

The Folding Chairs Comedy Troupe is back for one weekend only with a brand-new sketch show that asks the question: Is it still legal to be funny? They’re pushing boundaries and inviting you to laugh with them as they all get canceled together. No topic is too sacred, no punchline too sharp—everything is fair game!

Registration has begun for Richardson’s 53rd Annual Christmas Parade, to be held Saturday, Dec. 6. This year’s parade theme is “Holidays Around the World,” a redo of last year’s theme due to the weather-related cancellation of the 2024 parade. Individuals and groups are encouraged to interpret the theme with costumes, vehicles, pets and floats.  

Start your holiday shopping at the Richardson Senior Center’s Holiday Bazaar. The annual event features a wide variety of vendors selling everything from figurines and holiday cards to aprons and quilts. 

Children and teens ages 6-18 are invited to play chess against UT Dallas’ nationally ranked chess players or against young fellow chess fans and enjoy other cool chess activities. Registration is only required for a simultaneous play spot. Call 972-744-4358 or visit the Youth Services Help Desk to register.  

Kids and families are invited to join Richardson Public Library’s outreach van, R.O.V.E.R., for stories, crafts, games and discovery in the park. Explore new books and take part in hands-on activities, all outside! No registration required. Just drop by and join the fun!
