Join the Bass School of Arts, Humanities and Technology for a presentation by Dartmouth Professor of German and Comparative Literature Dr. Irene Kacandes, whose influential work in the public humanities bridges disciplines and advocates the importance of the humanities to all fields. Kacandes’ talk offers a different narrative about humanities field graduates and the humanities in the public sphere vs. current talk that “the humanities field is a waste of money.” The lecture will be followed by a Q&A and reception.
