The City’s annual photo contest opens Saturday, Jan. 13, with entries accepted through Friday, Feb. 2. Sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department, the contest is open to both residents and nonresidents, and is divided into three competition groups (Student, Amateur Adult, and Proficient Adult). Photos may be entered into any of 12 categories including Wildlife, People and Landscapes.
Winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony Feb. 22 at the Eisemann Center, with the winning photos displayed at Huffhines Recreation Center Feb. 3-20. (Get inspired with upcoming exhibits showcasing work from last year’s contest winners and judges; see below under Arts/Culture for details.)
