Crews are scheduled to begin alley replacement work next week in the Highland Terrace neighborhood as part of the City’s Annual Alley Maintenance Program. Work will take place in phases, beginning the week of Nov. 2 and continuing through most of November.
Residents within the scheduled work area should have received a mailed notification outlining the project and expected impacts to alley access and solid waste collection. During construction, access to affected alleys will be limited, and residents who normally receive alley collection will need to temporarily move their trash and recycling to the front curb.
Residents who live or travel by the work area should expect to see the following:
- Alley Access: Affected alleys will remain closed to vehicle traffic until concrete replacement work is complete and the pavement is ready for use.
- Trash and Recycling: Residents will see trash and recycling collection at the front curb on regularly scheduled collection days during the project.
Door hangers will also be distributed to residents directly impacted by the project before work begins.
