RICHARDSON – Heights and Huffhines Recreation Centers in Richardson are now open with modified services and hours with access to the facilities limited to 25 percent of occupancy.
“We’re excited that we are open and we’re happy to be here to serve our patrons,” said Rick Files, Huffhines Recreation Center manager.
Both facilities have rearranged workout equipment to allow visitors to follow CDC guidelines of staying six feet apart during the coronavirus pandemic. Patrons heading to the recreation centers are asked to limit their visits to 50 minutes.
Visitors are required to wear full gloves and to sanitize equipment prior to use. The dumbbells at each location are required to be placed in a sanitizing station for staff to clean prior to re-racking. Other equipment such as basketballs, table tennis, pickleball or badminton paddles and balls are not available for checkout at this time.
