The City’s Alley Rehabilitation Program and Neighborhood Streets Rehabilitation Program will both get started on projects south of East Belt Line Road beginning June 1, weather permitting. The Streets program will work in the area bordered by East Belt Line Road to the north, South Plano Road on the west, East Spring Valley Road to the south, and South Jupiter Road on the east, and the Alley program will get started  just south of that in the area bordered by East Spring Valley Road to the north, South Plano Road on the west, Buckingham Road to the south and South Jupiter Road on the east. Once work in both areas wrap up, the Alley program will move north into the section mentioned above bordered by East Belt Line Road.

Projects include removal and replacement of select deficient sections of street/alley pavement. City staff will walk streets in the selected areas and mark pavement needing replacement. Work will take place on a few segments at a time—typical timeframe for each street/alley segment’s completion is about 2-3 weeks.

Residents will be notified of nearby work and any street/alley closures about five days prior to starting construction. Notices will also be given after work is complete and a street/alley is reopened.
