In celebration of the Richardson Animal Shelter’s recent remodeling, pet adoption fees will be waived and microchipping will be free of charge beginning Monday, Dec. 8 and lasting through Sunday, Dec. 14. Pet chipping normally costs $15; adoption fees range from $5-$35 depending on type of pet and age.
The Animal Shelter’s newly renovated facility, located at 1330 Columbia Dr., officially reopened Nov. 12. As part of the voter-approved 2021 Bond Program, the Shelter received a new main entrance, entry façade and expanded staff offices as well as new storage rooms and minor updates to the break room and staff and public restrooms.
