At Monday’s City Council work session, City staff provided the Council with an overview of the City’s traffic operations and infrastructure, the status of traffic signal improvement projects funded by the 2021 Bond Program and discussed traffic and transportation needs for inclusion in a possible 2026 bond election.
Candidate projects identified include:
- Replacement of all school zone flashers and addition of speed feedback signs,
- Owens Trail upgrades,
- New traffic signals at several intersections, and
- 14 traffic signal rebuilds to include ADA enhancements at multiple signalized intersections.
Council has until February next year to decide on calling a bond election for voters to consider in May.
