The Richardson East and Richardson Rotary Clubs have given their 2025 Service Above Self Award to Richardson Assistant Fire Chief Gene Senter. The award is Rotary’s highest honor and recognizes individuals who exemplify the organization’s core value of putting service above self. Richardson City Manager Don Magner was on hand for the award presentation and said that the award was well-deserved, noting Senter’s unwavering commitment to the community, leadership in the fire services profession and genuine care for others.
Senter began with the Richardson Fire Department as a probationary firefighter in 1994, rising through the ranks to his current position of Assistant Fire Chief of Operations.
