Time falls back an hour at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, when Daylight Saving Time ends for the year. When you are changing your clocks, the Fire Department encourages you to check the batteries in your smoke detectors. If the batteries need replacing, the Department recommends replacing them with lithium batteries since they last longer than traditional batteries. Having a working smoke alarm/CO alarm increases the chances of escaping and surviving a home fire or carbon monoxide leak.
