Local nonprofit Richardson Real Heroes hosts its annual awards ceremony honoring local volunteers for outstanding service to the community. This year’s honorees are Debbie Conard and Sandy Lauder. Special guest speaker is Bob Phillips, longtime television host and executive producer of “Texas Country Reporter.” A dessert reception with live music will be held at the conclusion.

The Texas Gospel Music Festival is returning once again to the Eisemann Center for three days packed with music from some of the leading artists in Southern Gospel Music. The talent lineup includes fan favorites like Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, Mark Lowry, The Martins, Sandi Patty, Booth Brothers, Triumphant, Karen Peck & New River, Poet Voices, Legacy Five, Joseph Habedank, The Inspirationals of Texas, and The Sound.
