One More Book for Darbey’s Storywalk^® Before Hiatus
The September selection for Darbey’s Storywalk® is “Marta! Big & Small,” a nod to Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15), with Spanish vocabulary incorporated into the text. Written by Jen Arena and illustrated by Angela Dominguez, it’s short and simple, but a lot of fun, with opportunities for tiny readers to move their bodies around like the animals they see in the story.

Darbey’s StoryWalk^® enables visitors to walk along a designated path behind the Library while reading pages of a complete children’s book posted at 16 different stations. It is free and open to the public around the clock, seven days a week. Note that after September, Darbey’s StoryWalk^® will be closed while the Library undergoes renovations, which are planned to be complete by late 2025.
