The City of Richardson is joining efforts to reduce outdoor water use. The call for water conservation comes from the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) due to unexpected critical maintenance.

The City’s Parks and Recreation Department has turned off all of its outdoor irrigation systems at medians, parks, fields, and city buildings. The department has also raised mowing heights in an effort to keep turf healthy.

In addition, Sherrill Park Golf Course has switched to using well water.

We are asking residents to join in these conservation efforts while the NTMWD works through this short-term supply disruption.
