The City of Richardson’s annual Family 4th Celebration returns on Monday, July 4., with fun activities, food and new parking arrangements.

The event will take place at Breckinridge Park, where parking is limited. Attendees are encouraged to park at the designated off-site parking locations at 3101 E. President George Bush Turnpike in Richardson. From there, a fee round-trip shuttle service will be offered to take attendees to Breckinridge Park. Shuttle buses will starting making the trips at 6 p.m. and the last bus will leave from the parking lot at 9 p.m. The shuttle buses provided are in partnership with Richardson ISD and provide limited seating, with no under carriage storage. To ensure we can transport the maximum number of people per bus, we encourage you to minimize the amount of additional items you bring with you to the park.

Once at the event, there will be many things to do until the fireworks show at the end of the night. A variety of kid’s activities for all ages including bounce houses, zip lines and more will be available. Be sure to bring an appetite as there will be a variety of food concessions with some tasty treats.

Right before the end of the evening, the Richardson Community Band will perform your favorite tunes on the main stage to celebrate Independence Day and kick off the fireworks show. The the City will paint the horizon with a large fireworks display with a large fireworks display.
