Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) is operating shuttle buses instead of light rail trains between Walnut Hill Station and SMU/Mockingbird Station through Sunday, June 26 due to rail projects taking place between the two stations. The switch began Thursday. In tandem with this service alteration, Orange Line trains are only operating between DFW Airport Station and Pearl/Arts District Station. Regularly scheduled light rail service will resume Monday, June 27.
Shuttle buses are providing service between all light rail stations along the affected segment, including Lovers Lane Station and Park Lane Station. The buses are operated by a third-party charter bus company and are not DART branded. Passengers should look for charter buses at the red “Rail Disruption” bus stop signs located near each station to board a shuttle bus.
In addition, DART regularly provides frequent bus service between SMU/Mockingbird and Lovers Lane stations on Route 17 and between Park Lane and Walnut Hill stations on Route 27.
