“Thunder Boy Jr.” by Sherman Alexie and illustrated by Yuyi Morales is the June title installed in Darbey’s Storywalk®. It tells the story of a boy named after his dad, who wants a name that’s all his own. Thunder Boy Jr. searches for a name that celebrates something cool he’s done, but just when he thinks all hope is lost, he and his dad pick the perfect name, one that is sure to light up the sky.
