Our Public Services Department is ready and have been preparing for the impending winter weather event for about a week. Yesterday they mounted the sand spreaders to the trucks and today the vehicles were filled with 12 cubic yards of sand.
Staff are now working 12-hour shifts until the weather event is over. The first area the sand spreaders are scheduled to visit are elevated bridges and surfaces. Crews will be monitoring major intersections and respond to calls requested from Richardson Police and Fire.
