The “Texas Superstar” plant guide, a free, go-to guide for gardeners, landscapers and retailers featuring the best plants for Texas, has been updated and is now available online here as well as in printed form. The 40-page brochure, created by experts from Texas A&M AgriLife Research, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Texas Tech University and the Texas Department of Agriculture, features almost 80 plants that have been chosen for their beauty and ability to perform well for consumers and growers throughout the state. “Superstars” are also easy to propagate, which ensures the plants are not only widely available but also reasonably priced.

The brochure, which is typically updated every 2-4 years, provides information about each plant and recommendations on how to create the best environment for the plants to perform.
