Passengers of the DART Red Line and Orange line may experience some delays due to an incident at the Galatyn Park Station.

Richardson held its National Night Out event Tuesday night, with hundreds of Richardson residents gathering at 129 registered parties across the city at parks and in neighborhoods.

Custer Park, located near the intersection of Custer Parkway and Renner Road, has a brand-new dual water fountain for people and pets thanks to the efforts of local Girl Scout Troop 2126. The troop raised $5,400 in two months to purchase the water fountain as well as two “mutt mitt” dispensers, as the girls earned Girl Scout Bronze Awards.

The numbers are in: Peanut butter collected at City of Richardson facilities for the North Texas Food Bank’s (NTFB) Peanut Butter Drive held last month totaled 303 pounds and 169 jars!

The left lane of northbound and southbound Alma Road approaching the President George Bush Turnpike (PGBT) intersection may be closed to traffic as pavement and traffic signals are installed in conjunction with the DART Silver Line Project.

In conjunction with the Envision Richardson open house (see above for details), the public will have an opportunity to see the results of the community feedback given this summer regarding the design of the new City Hall campus and provide additional feedback as the design process progresses.
